Fire Cycle Signage
In collaboration with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, an interpretive sign and an Augmented Reality (AR) experience was made to educate visitors to the Crooked Trail about the fire cycle. The evidence of the Pioneer Fire that occurred in 2016 is still visible to hikers near this trail. Despite the fact that wildfires are an essential part of the ecosystem, fire is instead seen as a dangerous force that only destroys what’s in its path. In order to fix this misconception Kaleb Churchwell, Miyuki Henry, Elizabeth Dobbs, and myself worked together using Adobe Illustrator, Apple Procreate, Krita, Blender and Artivive to create the following work.
